Property Management Apprenticeship


The Property Management Apprenticeship Program is an employer-driven, earn-while-you-earn model that combines paid on-the-job  training, provided by the employer that hires the apprentice, with job-related instruction in ACC curriculum tied to the attainment of national skills standards.  Apprentices will learn about the Multifamily industry and learn the skills to be successful in the business, from skilled Property Management Professionals. Apprentices will gain experience as a leasing professional and learn skills to ultimately become a property manager.

Apprentices will interview and be hired by participating Denver apartment communities. Once working on-site, apprentices will work 32-40 hours per week, or for a minimum of 2,000 over the length of the program. They will also be responsible for completing their ACC online coursework each week which is at least 4 hours and could be as much as 10 hours. Skills and learning objectives are scaffolded to incorporate learning outcomes from the coursework and previous skills learned on the job.

Apprentices will earn $16-$25 per hour (total compensation) with multiple wage increase opportunities throughout the program. 

Tuition assistance or reimbursement may be available to apprentices.

The program will consist of five (5) semesters of online college courses in
conjunction with a minimum of 2,000 hours of paid on-the-job learning (OJL) on-site at a participating apartment community. Apartment communities will be throughout the Metro Denver area.

Students will be required to attend a monthly leadership course once a month at the ACC Littleton campus.


Student are required to work a minimum of 32-40 hours per week or 2,000 hours total through the length of the program. The average amount of time spent on coursework each week is at least 4 hours and could be as much as 10 hours.

    • ACC Business Administration Certificate
    • Department of Labor Apprenticeship Certificate
